We see localization as the key to making humanitarian aid more effective, inclusive, and sustainable, and we embrace it as our core strategy. We share our field experience and expertise with affected communities and our partners, adopting a capacity-building approach based on learning and producing together. We provide training, mentoring, and supervision support to civil society organizations, communities, and local service providers in Turkey and internationally, placing mutual learning and equal partnership at the center. We respect local knowledge, leadership, and decision-making mechanisms and support local actors in taking a more active role in humanitarian interventions. We encourage models that enable communities to generate their own solutions. We value the development of intercultural learning and solidarity, and with this principle, we advocate for localization not only in Turkey but also at the regional and international levels. By establishing local coordination networks, we encourage the sharing of knowledge and resources and, together with our partners, develop sustainable, inclusive, and community-led solutions.
