For us, an inclusive and locally well-coordinated civil society is a key building block for sustainable humanitarian aid.

In order to enable an effective humanitarian assistance and disaster response strategy, we conduct coordination activities aimed at strengthening civil society. We strive to establish coordination networks that will serve as knowledge and resource transfer platforms between civil society organizations.
For this purpose, we got together with Neighbourhood Disaster Volunteers (MAG) and Mavi Kalem Social Assistance & Solidarity Association in 2008 to establish Civil Society Disaster Platform (CSDP) in order to strengthen cooperation and build capacity in efficient disaster resilience. Through this platform, we bring together (I)NGOs, public actors, universities, media and private sector stakeholders. For more information on CSDP, you can visit
